THE INVISIBLES

Giving voice to those silenced by international indifference, Academy Award-nominated actor Javier Bardem teams with Médicins Sans Frontiérs (Doctors Without Borders) to produce this powerful collection of short films. Five acclaimed directors shed light on heroic, yet unsung humanitarian efforts to combat international crises, which have thus far remained invisible.

Letters to Nora   by Isabel Coixet
Coixet (My Life Without Me) looks at the life of a Bolivian girl working in Barcelona who sends money back home to a family devastated by an illness.

Invisible crimes   by Win Wenders
Wenders gives voice to several women of the war-torn Democratic republic of Congo.

Good night Ouma   by F. León de Aranoa
Fernando Leon (director of Princesses – and Familia) touchingly traces the plight of former child soldiers in Uganda.

Bianca´s Dream   by Mariano Barroso
Looks at the policies of drug companies.

Stone voice   by Javier Corcuera
Follows a group of displaced farmers from Colombia.
A modest tribute to those who never looked the other way, and a sobering reminder of the work that remains to be done.
