Based on the life of Tasio Ochoa, a man born at the foot of the Urbasa Mountains. At 8 years of age, he starts working on the mountain. At 14 he becomes a charcoal burner, following the family tradition. It is then that he meets Paulina, whom he will marry years later. When his daughter is born, he is forced to combine his work as charcoal burner with being a fisherman and a poacher. Beautifully filmed by cinematographer José Luis Alcaine in a way that shows the permeance of the landscape in relation to the humans who wander it.
